Smart Watch for Women, 2.04-inch AMOLED Display ...
I wanted to wait before writing a review, so that I could actually provide a review of the item and not just how it arrived fast, and I'm looking forward to using it. So, here it is:
Pros:
It has an amazing battery life. I've had it for just over a month now, and although I kept the screen brightness at about 75% and checked my blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen rate SEVERAL times a day, have only had to charge it 4 times. Plus, only one of those times was the battery very low.
The screen clarity is also exceptional. It did require being put to 100% when outside in bright sunlight, but was still easy to read.
And finally, the general review of it arrived quickly and packaged well. It came with a small insert that I guess was considered an instruction booklet. But, it basically just listed the functions, and the rest was left for me to figure out.
Now the Cons, and why I'm glad that I waited before writing a review:
I used the blood pressure, heart rate, and pulse oxymetry several times a day and checked it against my own other personal devices. I also checked it while at my doctor appointment. It was just about spot on each and every time - FOR THE FIRST 2 WEEKS OR SO. Then, it slowly started to provide results that were slightly different from my personal devices - blood pressure 8-10 mmHg, pulse rate 10-14 BPM, and the pulse ox never went below 99%. It is now a month, and I would not trust the accuracy of any of the readings. My resting blood pressure is off by 16-18 mmHg, heart rate 12-18 BPM, and pulse ox 1-2%. I had surgery and at my follow-up at the doctor this time, the blood pressure was off 22 points (Systolic) and 12 points (Diastolic), Pulse rate off 16 BPM, and Pulse ox off by 2%. I checked my watch readings while the nurse was doing the same, so it's not that I may have moved, etc. I have COPD and normally have a 97-98% oxygen range. At the beginning, I got an occasional 97-98% reading, but now my watch never goes below 99%.
The Steps counter has not been accurate since day 1, and by significant numbers. This morning, I physically counted my steps from one room to another. I took 24 steps and my watch said that I took 83!
The sleep cycle function was fairly accurate for the first 2-3 days and hasn't been correct since - it's read ZERO hours of sleep for the past 3 days.
The time to move reminder tells me to get up and move WHILE I'm walking.
Last, but not least, as others have mentioned, the size is just a bit too large. With the exception of the 4 charging times, I wore the watch 24 hours a day, taking it off only to shower. Although it claims to be waterproof, and it did get wet during normal daily activities and had no problems, I didn't want to push my luck with the shower. The watch face covered almost the entire top of my wrist. By the 2nd week, the ulnar bone, where it sticks out a bit at the bottom of the hand, was a bit painful from the watch constantly hitting it from everyday movement. Unlike some other reviewers, after 30 days of almost 24 hr wear, I had no issues with the watchband and skin sensitivity.
So, what does it all mean? Had I written this review after a few days of right out of the box use, I would have definitely given this watch 5 stars. However, waiting and seeing proved to be a more accurate review and my disappointing 2 star rating. It's a beautiful, crystal clear watch if you just want it to tell time and use a couple of the widgets. But if you are looking for a watch to use as a portable quick health check, I would NOT recommend this smartwatch.
