Difference between 1K and 2K Metering

Metering and mixing technology means the processing of one or two component materials. These could be greases and oils or adhesives and sealants such as polyurethane, epoxy or silicone. Single component materials are frequently used in the automotive industry. Two component materials will be processed in applications like potting or bonding of components, sealing, glazing and many more. For the processing of two component materials, they are filled in separate tanks and are then fully mixed during the dosing process. This could be for example epoxy resin and hardener.

To ensure quality and timely deliveries, production is monitored by SPC (Statistical Process Control). Reobijn works according to the principles of lean manufacturing and applies the methodologies of, among others, 5S and SMED.

In order to effectively respond to the growing demand for larger plastic products, Reobijn is currently working on a sustainable expansion of more than 2,000 m2. We will install larger machines with a clamping force of up to tons in this new production facility. This makes it possible to make products with larger dimensions, up to a weight of approx. 10 kg.
