Return Policy

Our return policy is valid for 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we regret to inform you that we cannot provide a refund or an exchange.

To qualify for a return, the item must remain unused and in the same condition as when you received it. It also needs to be in its original packaging.

Certain items cannot be returned. These include perishable goods like food, flowers, newspapers, or magazines. Likewise, we do not accept returns for intimate or sanitary products, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids and gases.

Non-returnable items include:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

For your return to be processed, we need a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send the item back to the manufacturer directly.

Partial refunds may be issued in specific cases:

  • If the book shows clear signs of use
  • CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, software, video games, cassette tapes, or vinyl records that have been opened
  • Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts not due to our error
  • Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to notify you of the receipt and whether your refund is approved or rejected. If approved, the refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a certain number of days.

Delayed or Missing Refunds

If you haven't yet received your refund, first double-check your bank account. Then, contact your credit card company as there may be a delay before the refund is posted. Next, contact your bank, as processing times can vary. If you have done all of this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at hello@smartsolutionsstore.co.nz.

Sale Items

Only items at regular price are eligible for refunds. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, email us at hello@smartsolutionsstore.co.nz and send your item to: 21 Lemonwood Place, AUK, Auckland 2105, New Zealand.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit equivalent to the return's value. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If the item wasn't marked as a gift or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver, who will then find out about your return.

Shipping Returns

You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning the item. Shipping costs are non-refundable, and if you receive a refund, the return shipping cost will be deducted from it.

The time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary, depending on your location.

If you are shipping an item worth more than $75, consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don't guarantee receipt of your returned item.
