But how do you make sure this doesn&#;t happen, so you&#;re not late for your next meeting?

There are ways for how to make an elevator not stop at floors! Read on to learn more about these elevator hacks.

Button Codes

Method one for making an elevator go faster is using button codes to make sure it just goes to your floor.

To do this, follow the steps below.

Press and Hold Floor

Option one is to press and hold the floor you want to go to. In some elevators, the pressing and holding will bring you directly to the floor you are holding without stopping anywhere else.

Door Close Button

Instead of pressing the floor button, immediately press the &#;close door&#; button on the elevator. Hold this button as you push the button for your floor.

Sometimes, this combination of buttons will make it an express elevator that doesn&#;t stop at other floors!

Just as a note, sometimes the close door button is just a placebo button and doesn&#;t actually do anything.

Cancel the Other Floors

In some elevators, you can cancel floor buttons that are already pressed when you get in. You can double press the button in some cases; sometimes, pressing it five times helps for other types of elevators.

Use Your Foot

In some cases, people have stated that you can use your foot to keep it from opening.

This is not the most recommended option, though.

Use the Master Key

If the other methods fail and you want to make sure the building only stops on floors you want it to be when you are in it, you can use a master key. The master key will give you an express ride.

If you are the owner of a building, this is an easy one to use. However, if you do not own the building but have to ride the elevator, you can always check online for master keys that are built for certain elevator brands.

Once you do research based on the make and model of the elevator, you may be able to find a key that works.

To use the key, insert it into the keyhole and leave it in when you press the floor to ride the elevator.
