Our knowledgeable engineers work closely with our customers to tailor the products parameters to the customers requirements. The molybdenm plate and sheet products offered by CHEMETAL USA are under close inspection and quality control of the microstructure, recrystallization behavior and the mechanical, chemical and physical properties. We worked hard to optimize the sintering and rolling processes in order to cost-effectively achieve a high production yield and homogenous microstructure.
Molybdenum Alloy Plate And Sheet (TZM, MoCu)
Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum (TZM)
TZM plate and sheet have a high melting point, good thermal conductivity, and low coefficient of thermal expansioncharacteristics comparable to those of pure molybdenum flat products, from room temperature up to 1,700 C.
TZMs two most desirable properties are its high-temperature tensile strength and creep resistance. CHEMETAL USAs production processes, including solid solution and dispersion strengthening, maximize these advantages. During vacuum sintering, the elements Zr, Ti, and C are heated until they diffuse into the Mo matrix per their solubilities. This enhances the microstructure of the base molybdenum. At the same time, carbide titanium and carbide zirconium (TiC and ZrC) are created as secondary phase particles that fill in the grain boundaries of TZM alloy.

Molybdenum Copper Plate And Sheet
Molybdenum copper alloy is primarily used in the production of high temperature contactors and electrically conductive and cooling elements. A 70/30% alloy produces a metal with the low thermal expansion of molybdenum and high thermal conductivity of copper, respectively. In normal and medium temperature conditions, molybdenum copper alloy can maintain greater strength and malleability. When the melting temperature of copper is met or exceeded, the copper liquifies and evaporates, absorbing heat in the process.

Molybdenum plates and sheets are the most popular among CHEMETAL USAs molybdenum products. Industries such as aerospace, electronics, and thermal treatment use a large amount of molybdenum plate products, especially in larger sizes. These and other industries associated with high temperatures and electronics require molybdenum flat materials to produce furnace boats; hot zones; heat shielding; and target materials, etc. Molybdenum is ideal for their purposes because of its high strength, hardness, and heat conductivity in high-temperature atmospheres. It also displays a low coefficient of expansion and excellent resistance to heat and corrosion.
A good example is the use of molybdenum plate in the production of electronic and vacuum components, which requires a metal with a homogenous structure, precise dimensions, and excellent machinability. Molybdenum suits all these requirements to a T. At the same time, it affords perfect control of yield strength, elongation, and machining tolerance.
Take the example of the molybdenum plate used to produce the electronic and vacuum components. An ideal material for electronic and vacuum components needs to have high strength, a homogenous structure, precise dimensions, and excellent machinability. Molybdenum plate can meet all these requirements. At the same time, it can also ensure perfect control in the range of yield strength, elongation, and machining tolerance.
