Precast concrete magnet is widely used in prestressed concrete system construction. It&#;s consist of  powerful neodymium magnets and housing steel box. Meanwhile, in order to pretect the inside magnet from rusting and damagement, it&#;s poured with black epoxy material between magnet and steelparts. The workers could easily push or pull the above button to make the magnetic box performed adhesive force or not with a steel sticker.

Precast Concrete Magnet Assemblies for Construction Industry

As a result, precast concrete has replaced many traditional cast-in-place concrete and become a new generation of commercial building material. It has been adopted as the main processing method by construction companies in many countries, ranging from Europe and the United States to the UAE and India, and now also spreading to China.

Application of Magnetic Formwork Technology in the Production of Prefabricated Components

Precast concrete magnets, which have been widely recognized and used in the production of PC components, are mainly used as magnetic fixing devices for building forms. Magnetic fixtures made from rare earth permanent magnets can avoid drilling holes in the mold platform and avoid damage to the rigid platform.

This extends the life of the component mold and reduces the investment in the mold. As a result, the amortization cost of prefabricated components can be significantly reduced and the economics of assembling integral buildings can be improved.

China Magnets Source Material Ltd. is a professional precast concrete magnet manufacturers, providing a series of magnetic fixing devices used in the production of precast concrete components, such as shuttering boxes (shuttering magnets), shuttering systems, insert magnets (anchor magnets), and magnetic chamfer.

At the same time, we have accumulated a lot of useful experience in the simulation of magnets, we can test and manufacture magnet components with the help of simulation software, focusing on providing comprehensive magnetic fixing solutions for precast concrete forms.

The company is the world’s best Magnetic Steel Triangle Chamfer Factory supplier. We are your one-stop shop for all needs. Our staff are highly-specialized and will help you find the product you need.

What is Precast Concrete Magnet devices?

Precast concrete magnets (PC fixing magnetic devices) are an innovative fastening method for construction Industry. They are a kind of large strong pot magnets holders designed with special magnetic circuits, including housings, embedded rare earth magnets and epoxy fillers.

They are placed on a steel moulding platform to fix formwork to the casting bed of the precast concrete, and can be used for various formwork structures such as wood formwork, steel formwork, aluminium formwork and so on.

How to Select Magnets for Precast Concrete?

Rare earth magnets are the core part of concrete magnets. And NdFeB magnets are so strong that a very small magnet can pick up objects that are several times heavier than itself. Therefore, more and more NdFeB magnets are chose to process into pot mounting magnets, which are used in various areas of our life, such as fixtures for lamps (car lights, work lights, LED lights, sign), fixtures for various automation equipment and tools, merchandising display accessories, door closers, etc.

High temperatures can cause magnets to lose their magnetism. Conventional NdFeB magnets have an operating temperature of 80°C and can be used in normal room temperature environments. When high temperature operation is required, a higher grade of high temperature NdFeB magnets should be selected. For specific needs, please contact us.

The physical properties of sintered NdFeB materials are hard and brittle. Therefore, NdFeB magnets are not only easily oxidized and corroded, but also easily broken. And once the magnet is damaged, the magnetic force is greatly reduced. So the magnets cannot be struck with external force and the plating of the magnet surface cannot be destroyed.

When we design formwork magnets, we have to consider not only the operating temperature, but also how to improve the durability of the magnet. Here are our solutions.

  1. NdFeB magnets need to be plated (such as NiCuNi or Epoxy plating
  2. Where magnets and iron bars are assembled into magnet assemblies, the surface of the magnet should be lower than the plane of iron bar so as to effectively avoid impact.
  3. An epoxy layer will be poured between the magnet and the iron bar or a stainless steel ring will be added directly to the magnet.

How to Choose Stainless Steel Housing for Precast Concrete Magnet Devices?

The shell materials include stainless steel and high-strength carbon steel. The thickness is generally 3-4mm for concrete formwork magnet assemblies. In addition, some magnetic fixing products will be supplemented with additional rubber and aluminum alloy materials.

In terms of rust resistance, stainless steel is superior to high-strength carbon steel, greatly extending the service life of the precast concrete magnetic devices. And in terms of strength, high strength carbon steel is superior to stainless steel. In terms of price, carbon steel is cheaper than stainless steel. You can choose the right material and thickness in combination with the actual use.

According to our order data, most of the foreign countries use carbon steel as the shell, while most of the domestic PC prefabricated components manufacturers use stainless steel magnetic box. Why is this?

Most of the domestic precast concrete manufacturers use domestic prefabricated mould tables. The flatness of the steel side moulds is poor, and the operation is not standardized during construction.

This has resulted in domestic precast plants often having large amounts of concrete slurry spilling out of the steel side moulds at the site during the production of precast components.

Spilled concrete can have a strong corrosive effect on the steel cover, which requires them to have a good resistance to corrosion. The conventional concrete formwork magnets with carbon steel housings are not enough for production.
