304 stainless steel sheet #4 finish is notable for its brushed appearance, which is commonly seen on kitchen appliances and backsplashes. One side of the sheet is protected with a PVC film to prevent scratches during fabrication and installation. Our 304 stainless steel sheet #4 finish adheres to both #3 and #4 finish standards.

If the 304 stainless steel sheet #4 finish is less than 48" in length, customers can choose the grain direction of the brushed finish for an additional 10%. To decide the grain direction, input the desired dimension for grain alignment into the "length" field of the cost calculator. For example, for a 5" x 10" sheet where the grain runs along the 10" dimension, input 5" as the "width" and 10" as the "length". In step 4 of the fabrication options, select "Yes" in the grain preference box. This ensures consistency in grain direction for multiple pieces. If no preference is indicated, we will optimize for the best yield.

For fabrication options such as grain preference, hemming, or rounded corners, select the "cut to your size" option. We offer bending for 304 stainless steel sheet #4 finish up to 11 gauge in thickness and hemming up to 20 gauge. For additional bending options, refer to our Angle/Channel section.

304 stainless steel is a versatile commercial grade known for its anti-rust and heat-resistant properties, making it suitable for various applications including food equipment, plumbing materials, kitchen sinks, and backsplashes. Note that 304 stainless steel sheet #4 finish is austenitic, meaning it is non-magnetic. If magnetic properties are required, consider the 430 grade.
