1. Connection of semi-trailer and tractor

1) Check items: Matching of tractor and semi-trailer

Fifth wheel is higher 50~100mm than semi-trailer.

2)Check items: Turn interference caused by the height of tractor and semi-trailer

Problem descriptions: When turning, the semi-trailer front end touches the tractor cab, or the tractor rear end touches the semi-trailer .

3)Check items: Fifth wheel and king pin

Problem descriptions and Solutions:

A. See if there is sand, stone or other objects.

Clear up

B.See if there is grease on the fifth wheel

Add enough grease

C.Connection of fifth wheel

Tighten up or replace the bolts

D. King pin

Replace it if it is heavily worn

2. Connecting operation

1) In order to connect the king pin and the fifth wheel successfully, stop up the semi-trailer wheels with crossers first.

2) Operate the landing legs, and make the seat board of the semi-trailer king pin 10~30mm lower than the central position of the fifth wheel. Please do as the above, otherwise the connection may fail, and the fifth wheel, the king pin and some other parts may be damaged.

3) Pull open the unlock rod on the fifth wheel to expand the traction lock mechanism.

4)Reverse the tractor, guide the king pin into the opening of the lock mechanism through the V type opening of the fifth wheel, and push the lock block turn and lock the kingpin (That is to hear click and see unlock rod return).

5&#;Turn on the semi-trailer air line switch on the tractor to connect the air line (connect the joint of the air-supply line of the tractor to the one of the semi-trailer, and the joint of the control line of the tractor to the one of the semi-trailer).

6&#;Insert the wire connecting plug of the tractor into the wire connecting socket of the semi-trailer to connect the circuit.

7&#;Properly operate the lifting landing legs to let them retract back, and then pull down the crank and put it on the hook.

8&#;Remove the crossers under the wheels.

3 . Running: Check before start

1&#;Check if the tire pressure of the tractor and the semi-trailer is the specified value.

2&#;Check if the spare wheel is installed correctly, if the nuts are tight and its pressure.

3&#; Start the engine to watch the air pressure gauge in the cab until the air pressure rises above 0.6Mpa.

4&#;Push in the hand brake of the tractor, and obvious rapid air bleeding noise can be heard. When the brake chamber pushrod retracts back, release the parking brake.

5&#;Check if the air line leaks, and if the brake system is in normal operation.

6&#;Check circuit to see if the lamps are in normal condition, and if all wire connectors are connected well.

4. Start

After checking and the air pressure in brake system rises to 0.7~0.8Mpa, start the vehicle according to

the tractor operation requirements, and then check the brakes of the entire vehicle.

5. Running

After the above operation

the vehicle can run normally. Pay attention to the following:

1&#;Avoid using the brake system of the semi-trailer. If the air pressure in brake system is too low, the emergency relay valve may brake the wheels automatically and wheel locking may occur.

2&#;Avoid too hot drum brake on long or steep slope. Try to brake with the engine brake drum of the tractor.

3&#;When running the speed shall not exceed the max. speed.

4&#;Notice the height permitted on the road to avoid bumping against the device.
