Amass XT90

Same as XT90, but has a resistor built in which gets bridges the gap first, allowing your ESC capacitors to slowly charge up (without a spark), which then gets bypassed once you plug the connector in deep enough. No spark is safe for your electronics, and doesn’t wear down the connector!

XT30U is the upgraded version of original XT30

• The main difference is XT30U is lighter. There is no reason to choose the old version over the U version. Both XT30 and XT30U are compatible.
• Connector rated for 30 amps and can handle up to 60A bursts with no issue.
• Great for auxiliary stuff like connecting your charge port to BMS, running a buck converter for lights, etc.
• Almost as small as a JST connector, but can support far more current!
• Can be soldered to up to a 14 gauge wire!

Charging Connectors

XLR Info

• XLR can accept 14 AWG (1.6 mm or 0.063 in) wire with a current-carrying capacity of 15 amps.
• Large variety of port mounts and covers in waterproof, locking and hardened types.
• One of the current ebike standards.
• Generally more expensive than other connection types.
• Larger than DC jacks or two pin ports.

Higher quality XLR plugs, like the Neutrik XX brand (rated for 16 amps), are an excellent choice for higher current charging.

Xt90s and XT60s are also often used. Make sure not to mix it up with your loop key port!!! Always put a fuse in series with your charging port to avoid such disasters.

In general, it’s easier to stick to DC55521 connectors. The standard 2.5mm connectors can not handle more current than a good 2.1mm connector. Both are capped to 5A officially.
This female port from electricboardsolutions claims to be rated for up to 4A.

Motor Specific Connectors

Generally used internally to interconnect the ESC to the Motor.

Good for 120A. Great for big motors! Ideally paired with 10AWG.
Also useful for battery connections (if you know what you are doing).
